Anke Muijsers

Fashion and Textile Design

To Muijsers, colour is a leading factor in design. So for het graduation she did research into Itten’s colour theory and the dying of fabrics. It’s truly academic (in the positive sense of the word!) research, consistently executed, including thesis and pre-sentation. She put up two rows of sheet-size hand-dyed fabrics, hung closely together in a white space. Imagine all these pieces of cloth, like some kind of millefeuille, from white to the most intense colours: walking through these rows was an overwhelming experience.
