In an attempt to look beyond the words of novels and analyse their underlying grammatical construction, Anton Lamberg ‘corrected’ three novels by Kafka, Whitman and Faulkner, replacing each and every word by its grammatical denotation. In doing so, he turned the novels into immense code-sequences: verb-noun-pronoun-and so on. He then translated these sequences into three-dimensional landscapes, in which the occurrence of every type of word defines the volume of the mountains: a fascinating method of visualising grammar.
